I know recently everything on the blog has revolved around Little Foot, but that's not to say that things haven't been happening at the new place. We've painted a few rooms, hung a bunch of stuff on the walls and it's really starting to feel homey.
We took on a bigger project this weekend... sort of on a whim. It was on our (looooong) list of to dos, but it wasn't originally part of our Saturday plan. No biggie- we are so excited with any progress that we'll take it when we can get it :)
Here's a zoomed out look of the house. The gardens were SO overgrown when we closed back in June. Believe it or not my mom and I had spent hours in the garden getting it to this point.
Unfortunately we felt the front looked too busy with those large bushes on either side of the front porch. We knew when we first saw the house that if we bought it they would need to go. I was out weeding some more and the Mr. brought up cutting them down. I wasn't one to argue since Little Foot was napping, so off we went!
Saturday at noon (hi pups!)
And just two hours later
Aah, so much better, right? The front already feels so much lighter. There is still a bunch to do- like evening out the right and left garden beds, staking the roses on either side of the door so they don't automatically creep towards the door (ouch!), and much much more. But it's a start :)
Stay tuned for more house updates- like a tour of the completed nursery! I am hoping to get that post up this week!
