What's that flavor I taste?

I think it's called "pack n play" ;)

We pulled the pack n play into the living room to corral Little Foot when we have things that need to get done. Usually she just sits and plays with toys, but this time she was curious what was going on outside. Cracks me up.

Little Foot is almost 7.5 months old.

Living room

What is this? Two posts in one week? I already posted about the dining room, which is open to the living room, so it only makes sense to share this room, too.

Before
And after
Before
After

My typical view- TV on, dogs playing, and the sun shining in
What we did:
Painted
Bought new couch, ottomans, rug
Hung curtains and two pieces of art

Still to do:
Paint trim white
Buy and hang a bunch of decorations

The dining room

I'm just going to come out and say it. This home is taking forever to document so you should probably ignore all the timelines I post and assume it'll be awhile before you see any pictures ;) That being said, I DO have pictures of the dining room to share with you today.

Let's look at the before
And the "keeping it real" after

Yes, I could hide the dog food bowls and high chair, but this is our life. Our house is far from perfect and I embrace it :) Don't worry- we'll be hemming those curtains.

What we did:
Switched out the light (the one in there we took from the breakfast nook in the kitchen)
Painted
Hung curtains, a couple pieces of art, and the riddling rack
Threw some furniture in there

Still to do:
Paint trim white
Hem curtains
Figure out what other wall art needs to go up

Seven months old!

Yes, my little goofball is seven months old. She was obviously happy about it :)

We spent most of the day at my sister's house helping them move into their new place. It appears we started a trend by buying a new house ;) I was able to sneak in picture taking before putting her down for the night... Enjoy!

 CHEEKS! DIMPLE!

 See ya later ;)
So she's crawling now. It's slow-going, but it's definitely crawling. She also popped her first tooth this week! (Please excuse the harsh lighting; it was the only way to get the tooth in a picture.)

Here are her six monthfive monthfour monththree monthtwo month and one month photos.

About that new house

I know recently everything on the blog has revolved around Little Foot, but that's not to say that things haven't been happening at the new place. We've painted a few rooms, hung a bunch of stuff on the walls and it's really starting to feel homey.

We took on a bigger project this weekend... sort of on a whim. It was on our (looooong) list of to dos, but it wasn't originally part of our Saturday plan. No biggie- we are so excited with any progress that we'll take it when we can get it :)

Here's a zoomed out look of the house. The gardens were SO overgrown when we closed back in June. Believe it or not my mom and I had spent hours in the garden getting it to this point.
Unfortunately we felt the front looked too busy with those large bushes on either side of the front porch. We knew when we first saw the house that if we bought it they would need to go. I was out weeding some more and the Mr. brought up cutting them down. I wasn't one to argue since Little Foot was napping, so off we went!

Saturday at noon (hi pups!)
 And just two hours later

Aah, so much better, right? The front already feels so much lighter. There is still a bunch to do- like evening out the right and left garden beds, staking the roses on either side of the door so they don't automatically creep towards the door (ouch!), and much much more. But it's a start :)

Stay tuned for more house updates- like a tour of the completed nursery! I am hoping to get that post up this week!
