Turks recap: Grace Bay

Ahh, Grace Bay. AKA one of the best beaches in the world. While we didn't stay on Grace Bay, we visited many times. Most of the restaurants we ate at were situated right on the edge of the sand, so we strolled the beach after eating and took plenty of pictures. Rather than posting about it numerous times, I'll just do one big spotlight!

Tuesday was the first time we headed down to the Grace Bay to grab a bite to eat. Max at Northwest Point Resort suggested Somewhere. No, really. It was called Somewhere. And that was where we ate.

But first, let's take a look at the white sandy (and empty) beaches of Grace Bay:

View from the other angle (not bad, eh?)
I dipped my feet in the clear blue waters
These remind me of umbrellas you get in cocktails

Later on in the week we stopped by Grace Bay again to walk the beach and get some more pictures.

Searching for JoJo the dolphin*
More deserted beaches

Our last day there we visited one more time for brunch at a resort on the beach (details to come later in the week). We searched for JoJo some more, but didn't see him.

*Quick background: JoJo is a dolphin that just hangs out around Provo and swims with the beach goers. He's so famous there are signs like these:

As we were finishing up dinner and our beach stroll, the winds from Hurricane Earl were getting worse so we headed home to our hurricane bunker. The resort decided to protect all the windows and doors that faced the water, so we saw a lot of this Tuesday night into Wednesday morning:

Beautiful! All those gorgeous empty beaches... Is this a deserted island... you two were the only inhabitants!

I'm so jealous! I was reminiscing this weekend how it was a year ago I was on Grace Bay, enjoying the deserted beautiful beaches! Did you make it to Coco Bistro? I see you made it to the expensive grocery store though! :-)
