The Mr. is getting interviewed

A couple weeks ago the Mr. got an email from a recruiter for a rather large company. He'd been keeping an eye open for a new position since he isn't feeling challenged at work. Not to mention one of the major reasons he was staying- his boss- is no longer there. So this almost seemed like a sign.

He read the position description and was immediately interested. We brushed up his resume, did a little research on the company, and he decided to apply for the position. Days later he heard back from the recruiter saying that the hiring manager is interested in his background, so she was requesting a phone interview.

He had that interview yesterday, where the recruiter asked fairly basic questions about career interests, salary requirements etc, and she asked when he could come in for an interview!!!! We're not exactly sure when that interview will be, but we are thinking sometime this coming week. I am so excited! (Oh yeah, and so is he.)

Not only would he be starting a new position that really interests him, he'd (most likely) get a raise, and his commute would be a fraction of his current commute. We're talking single digits here, people! 

This is such an exciting time, I can barely contain it. I'll keep everyone up to date. :)
